About the Role:
As a Steel Detailer, you will be responsible for producing detailed drawings and 3D models for secondary and miscellaneous steel structures using Tekla and AutoCAD. You’ll work closely with project managers, architects, and engineers to ensure accurate, cost-effective, and compliant designs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare accurate Tekla and AutoCAD drawings and models for secondary and miscellaneous steel structures.
- Coordinate with project managers, architects, and contractors to ensure alignment on project requirements and schedules.
- Review designs and perform necessary checks to ensure safety, quality, and compliance with relevant standards.
- Maintain clear project documentation, including drawings, calculations, and technical reports.
- Support procurement and site teams by ensuring timely delivery of design information and material specifications.
- Stay informed on the latest detailing and BIM practices to continuously improve design quality and efficiency.
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Steel Detailer or CAD Technician, with 2 years of Tekla experience. Ideally on medium-size projects.
- Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong proficiency in Tekla Structures, AutoCAD, and BIM workflows.
- Solid understanding of steel detailing, connections, and fabrication standards.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
Desirable:
- Familiarity with BIM integration and clash detection processes.
- Experience managing project deliverables and deadlines.
- Knowledge of local and international building standards.
