Description
Overview
Crewit Resourcing is seeking a Junior Electrical Engineer to support the design and delivery of building services projects, primarily CAT A and CAT B office fit-outs. The role offers the opportunity to work alongside experienced engineers, develop technical expertise, and progress within the company.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the design and implementation of electrical systems for commercial office fit-out projects.
- Develop engineering solutions based on client requirements and project specifications.
- Work closely with pre-construction and project managers throughout project delivery.
- Produce and update CAD drawings from engineer mark-ups.
- Prepare professional drawings and technical reports for design submissions.
- Manage document control, including issuing, saving, and logging project documentation.
- Perform electrical calculations and system analysis.
- Prepare technical outputs for review and approval by project managers.
- Liaise with architects, consultants, and other design team professionals.
- Coordinate designs to identify and resolve construction issues.
- Collaborate with internal departments to ensure projects meet timelines and budgets.
Requirements:
- Experience and technical knowledge within the building services sector.
- Exposure to UK standards
- Understanding of current industry practices and technologies.
- Knowledge of the construction design process.
- HNC or equivalent qualification in Electrical Building Services or related discipline.
- Strong educational background, particularly in Mathematics and English.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Self-motivated with a strong desire to learn and develop.
- Strong attention to detail and presentation standards.
- Full driving licence and ability to commute to Maidenhead.
- Knowledge of building regulations, industry standards, and legislation.
- Experience within a design consultancy or engineering environment.
- Experience working directly with clients and multidisciplinary design teams.
- Experience with modelling software such as:
- Amtech
- Hevacomp
- Dialux
- Relux
- Proficiency in CAD software.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
