About the Role

We are currently seeking an experienced Mechanical Supervisor (Klempner) to join a growing project team delivering large-scale construction projects across Germany.

This position is ideal for a candidate with a strong mechanical trade background who has progressed into a supervisory role and has experience managing mechanical installation teams on industrial, commercial, pharmaceutical, or data centre projects.

The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating mechanical works on site, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise and coordinate daily mechanical installation activities on site.
Lead and manage mechanical trades personnel and subcontractors.
Ensure works are completed in accordance with drawings, specifications, and project schedules.
Oversee installation of mechanical services, piping systems, HVAC, and associated equipment.
Monitor productivity, labour allocation, and material requirements.
Conduct toolbox talks and enforce all health and safety procedures.
Liaise with Project Managers, Engineers, Client Representatives, and other site trades.
Review mechanical drawings, BIM models, and technical documentation.
Assist with inspections, quality control, testing, commissioning, and project handover activities.
Maintain accurate records, progress reports, and site documentation.
Resolve technical and coordination issues to ensure smooth project delivery.

Requirements

Qualified Mechanical Trade (Klempner / Plumber / Pipefitter / Mechanical Fitter).
Proven experience supervising mechanical installation teams.
Previous experience working on large commercial, industrial, pharmaceutical, manufacturing, or data centre projects.
Strong understanding of:
- Mechanical pipework systems
- HVAC installations
- Mechanical plant and equipment
- Site coordination and construction practices
Ability to read and interpret:
- Mechanical drawings
- Schematics
- BIM models
- Technical specifications
Strong leadership and communication skills.
Good knowledge of health & safety procedures.
German project experience is highly desirable.
English language skills required; German language skills would be an advantage.

Ideal Candidate Profile

5+ years' experience in a Mechanical Supervisor, Mechanical Foreman, Site Supervisor, or Lead Installer position.
Background as a qualified Klempner, Pipefitter, HVAC Installer, or Mechanical Fitter.
Experience leading teams and coordinating subcontractors.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in fast-paced project environments.
Willingness to work across various locations within Germany.
