About Solar Beo
We are looking for an Electrical Engineer for our client in the renewable energy company helping homes, farms, and businesses reduce energy costs through high-quality solar PV solutions. The company provides end-to-end services including design, installation, commissioning, monitoring, and maintenance of solar energy systems.
The successful candidate will work closely with installation teams, project managers, and customers to ensure solar systems are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest technical standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Design grid-connected solar PV systems for residential, commercial, agricultural, and industrial clients.
- Produce electrical layouts, single-line diagrams, and system calculations.
- Conduct site assessments and technical feasibility studies.
- Support project planning and coordinate technical aspects of installations.
- Carry out testing, commissioning, and energisation of solar PV systems.
- Monitor system performance and identify opportunities for optimisation.
- Provide technical support to installation and operations teams.
- Ensure compliance with Irish electrical regulations and industry standards.
- Prepare technical reports, project documentation, and handover packages.
- Troubleshoot electrical and solar PV system issues when required.
- Liaise with clients, suppliers, and network operators throughout project delivery.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Experience in solar PV system design and implementation.
- Strong understanding of electrical installations, protection systems, and renewable energy technologies.
- Experience with testing and commissioning electrical systems.
- Ability to interpret electrical drawings and specifications.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Full driving licence.
